I developed, enhanced, and maintained Rockwell’s comprehensive Partner Schools Strategy, which involved identifying schools that aligned strategically with Rockwell’s community focus on science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts. The strategy included partnering with schools around the world that provided Early Childhood Development; elementary, middle, and high schools in our local communities; colleges and universities that provided the curriculum needed to develop Rockwell’s future workforce, and that focused on the underserved population (African Americans; Asian Americans; Hispanics/Latinos; Native Americans; the disabled; etc.). We would provide Rockwell scholarships to the schools, and internships to minority students who were identified through the school’s selection process. Goal was to ensure that minority students would have an opportunity for a quality education, all the way from early childhood into young adulthood and, later, for a quality job at Rockwell or other high-tech companies.
